Abstract (EN)

Communication, which is a means of vital necessities such as understanding, communicating, sharing, and transferring emotions between people, can be done through different channels. Language is the most common channel of communication, which can be carried out verbally, non-verbally or in written forms, depending on the sender's preference. Language, in addition to being a tool of expression, has its own characteristics; A person creates his realm of existence through language. It is a structure that has a systematic structure within itself and is bound by rules; However, it becomes subjective when used in accordance with these rules. For example, the language use of a person who mostly uses noun sentences in terms of the type of predicate, uses exclamations a lot in communication, or prefers inverted sentences according to the arrangement of their elements, begins to have unique characteristics. At this point, individuality, originality, and a set of deliberate preferences begin to come into question, and this is called style. In classical Turkish poetry, of course, each poet has his or her own idioms, because even being an individual is sufficient for the existence of a personal style. However, in some periods, poets with similar stylistic features used certain features in common, consciously or unconsciously, some of them came together consciously, became representatives of a movement, and created periodic styles. In classical Turkish poetry, four periodical styles are mentioned, although the fourth is not clear. The subject of our study is the determination of the elements of the local and folkloric style, which is the fourth style in Classical Turkish poetry, in the divans of Sâfî, Necâtî Beg and Emrî. The aim of the study is to identify local and folkloric elements in terms of language, content and literary features in the divans of the three poets mentioned and to contribute to previous studies in this field. In the study, the divans of Sâfî and Necâtî Beg, who lived in the 15th century, and Emrî, who lived in the 16th century, were examined. In the first part of our thesis, which consists of two main parts, the concepts of communication, language and style are briefly mentioned. Starting from the concept of style, information about personal style and periodical styles is given. Four period styles are included; However, since the local/folkloric style, which is the subject of the thesis, is not accepted by some researchers, it has been tried to be given with the Turkî-i simple movement, which is thought to constitute it, together with opposing views. Those who accept the existence of the local/folkloric style, which is the fourth of the periodic styles, and those who do not accept it have been tried to be conveyed with their reasons. In the second part of the thesis, a total of 15 poems by 3 poets were examined, and traces of local/folkloric style were sought in the poems, because the centuries that the researchers who argue that this style emerged after the Türkî-i Basît movement mean are the 15th and 16th centuries. This is the reason why we chose poets who lived and produced works in these centuries in our thesis, and why we looked for traces of the style in question in these divans. In the poems included in the study, materials related to local/folkloric style in terms of language, content and literary features were collected and tabulated, and it was concluded that the poets used these materials more than others in their poems. Key Words: Classical Turkish poetry, communication, language, style, periodic styles, local/folkloric style, Türkî-i basit
