Özet (EN)

This study aims at investigation of basic and ultrabasic rocks of ophiolite units and contribution of geodynamic evolution in Kınık Village and its surrounding, and the study area, which is located at northwest of Kütahya is placed between Torid Zone at south and Izmir - Ankara Suture Zone at west. The rocks in the study area consist of four main units. Gabbros exhibite in wide expension in east of Kınık are seen as a sequence with layer and have a cumulative texture. Diabase dykes truncate the gabbros and partly underwent to hydrothermal alteration. Peridotites that are located at the base of the ophiolite unit shifted to serpentinites including jointed and fractured structure and a dense uralitization and listvenitization. Ophiolites melange thrusted on the Çokköy and Beke Formations whereas peridotites overlap on ophiolitic melange with tectonic boundary. The main rocks of the ophiolitic melange are pelagic deposit, basic rocks and serpantinites. In all basic rocks, damuritation, uralitation, chloritization, epidotzation and carbonation have been observed. However, serpentinization, listvenitization, laterization have been observed in the ultrabasic rocks. The mineralogical and petrographical features of basic and ultrabasic rocks from Kınık ophiolite and some ophiolites (Banaz, Eldivan, Kömürhan, Orhaneli and Sivrihisar ophiolites) have a been carrelated. Additionaly, density of alteration zone in these rocks are indicated. Some similar structural and textural aspects have been identified in the ophiolites located at Banaz, Eldivan, Kömürhan, Orhaneli and Sivrihisar ophiolite placed at more southern area. As a result alteration developed highly well in the nearby area of Izmır - Ankara Suture Zone (IASZ)
