Abstract (EN)
Like all businesses, SMEs must constantly measure their performance in order to determine their strategies and make future decisions. However, there is no specially developed measurement tool for measuring the performance of SMEs. Instead, it was observed that performance measurement tools, which were prepared for large enterprises and did not comply with SMEs, were used, or instead of measuring the whole of the SME, measurements were focused on a single detail area such as 'SME's institutionalization' or 'SME's production performance' As a result of this actualization, 'SMEGON Performance Evaluation Tool' was carried out in this thesis in order to develop a performance evaluation tool for SMEs. The SMEGON Performance Assessment Tool is a measurement tool that has been made by the researcher using data obtained from SMEs in different sectors and locations and has never been used before. Developed as a result of 2-phase application. Quantitative tests on the validity and reliability of a new scale were performed and proved positive. The SMEGON Tool has 4 separate components and 12 dimensions, three of which are under each of the components. In order to evaluate the 12 dimensions, the SMEGON Tool consisted of 29 expressions under the dimensions. These four components are: Finance, Marketing, Production and Management. These 12 dimensions are: Dimensions of Management Performance: Institutionalization, Strategic Management and Human Resources; Dimensions of Financial Performance: Access to Foreign Resources, Profitability and Growth; Dimensions of Production Performance: Quality, Innovation and Productivity; Finally, the Marketing Performance Dimensions: Branding, Market Position and Sales have created the SMEGON Performance Tool.
