The impact of entrepreneunship management on foreign trade in SMEs: A study on SMEs in Baku, Azerbaijan

Today, the place of SMEs and entrepreneurs in national and international economy is important for countries. The importance of entrepreneurship in national economies is increasing day by day. The importance of entrepreneurs, in other words, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), who have a great role in the international economy, increases their importance in this direction. With the understanding of modern entrepreneurship, SMEs are gaining more and more importance in terms of the country and international economy due to the ability of entrepreneurs to adapt to the increasing competition in the free market economy, to have market and production knowledge, to undertake the risks that may arise, to their abilities in business management and organization, and their ability to quickly adapt to innovations. The economic activity of small and medium-sized enterprises also helps to solve the social problems of society and has a positive effect on the development of small enterprises, as well as the regional economy, creates new jobs, provides employment and competitiveness in the country. The role of small businesses is so important that it does not end with the production of economic goods and services and increasing income. Entrepreneurship is a guide and a unique initiation mechanism for structural change in the economy and society. This change acts as a catalyst for economic growth and affects the growth of aggregate output. The development of micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and increasing their role in the country's economy and employment, as in every country, are one of the main components of economic policy in Azerbaijan.
