Abstract (EN)

In the current study, the treatment processes and the sources, quantity and features of wastewater entering treatment plant were evaluated and a new urban wastewater treatment plant was designed considering suitable treatment processes for wastewater discharged sensitive/ less sensitive parts. The wastewater were characterized by evaluating the process, influent and effluent analysis results of last three years of 42 Evler and Kullar Wastewater Treatment Plant in Kocaeli. The detailed information about treatment process of the plants were given and were projected separately with their present conditions by using Belebungs software which is suitable for ATV-DVWK 131 E standards. Moreover, a new urban wastewater treatment plant was designed by integrating two plants. The new wastewater treatment plant was simulated using artificial neural network and the performance of new plant was examined. For the wastewater that will be discharged according to the legislations, combining and redesigning of both institutions in the land of Kullar Wastewater Treatment Plant have been resulted as the optimum solution.
