Abstract (EN)

In this study, in the first stage; the three Vanen-type compartmental Schiff bases were synthesized with o-vanillin derivatized with diamines (1,2-diaminoethane,1,3-diaminopropane, 1,4-diaminobutane). In the second stage; these synthesized compartmental Schiff bases (CuL1, CuL2 and CuL3) were complexed with the Cu(CH3COO)2.H2O to prepare mononuclear Cu(II) complexes. Then four different methods in literatures were determined to synthesize 3d-4f complexes. Using these methods, the tendency of the complexes to synthesize polynuclear heterometalic complexes with some the lanthanide salts [La(NO3)3.6H2O, Nd(NO3)3.6H2O and Gd(NO3)3.6H2O] was investigated. Furthermore, it has been determined that method C for the synthesis of heterometallic 3d-4f complexes is in more tendency to complexation. Isolated ligand and metal complexes structures were characterized by spectroscopic methods such as FT-IR, Raman, NMR, UV-Vis, TG and elemental analysis.
