Abstract (EN)

Viola education is one of the important areas of instrument education which aims to make individual acquire necessary information, skills and understandings in the area of viola. However, the works and etudes created for viola instrument are highly few in number. Many composer avoided making creations for this instrument. Few composer's etudes and works are not known enough. Therefore, pieces in Lev Krillov's Concert Repertoire are of importance by means of improvement of the viola repertoire. This study is a quantitative study which aims to describe the condition of usability of the pieces composer and viola educator Lev Krillov wrote for viola in graduate level conservatory education. The study is thought to enable works of Lev Krillov become more recognized and to overcome the difficulties faced in the process of performance by concretizing with given examples. In the study, technical and musical analysis of determined works were made, with interviewing forms which were prepared by the researcher, the opinions of viola educator specialists who work in the conservatory were received. In the conclusion of the research, the outcome of usability of Lev Krillov Concert Repertoire as a material in conservatory graduate level viola education was reached.
