Our study was made at Afyon Kocatepe University Ahmet Necdet Sezer Training Hospital and Delivery Clinics, Afyon Zubeyde Hanım Gynaecology and Infantile Diseases Hospital and MIWFP (Maternity and Infantile Welfare Family Planning) centre, and conducted to determine women?s knowledge and opinion about the men?s contraceptive methods. In our study, we aimed to reach the married women who were applied to Afyon Kocatepe University Ahmet Necdet Sezer Training Hospital and Delivery Clinics, Afyon Zubeyde Hanım Gynaecology and Infantile Diseases Hospital and MIWFP (Maternity and Infantile Welfare Family Planning) centre during March/2007 and May/2007. 338 women who accepted to participate to this study were recruited in this study. The questionnaire which consists of 35 questions was used, asking in detail about socio-demographic properties, previous pregnancy history, women and men contraceptive methods currently used, and their reasons to use these methods.53,3% of women uses a contraceptive method while 46,7% of women?s husband use a contraceptive method.IUD(intra uterine device) is the most preferential contraceptive method in women while men prefer to use condoms. Family planning methods are mainly supplied from MIWFP and Health centers, and women usually begin to use a contraceptive method after meeting with her husband.Using modern methods increased in men and women when their income and educational level increased. It was determined that women?s working situation was a factor in modern method choice.In the first 6 years of marriage condom was the most preferred but in the first 6 years of marriage tubal sterilization was never preferred. 54,4% of the participants said that male contraception methods are not common, and they said that the reason of this case is the responsibility of contraception is on women Most of the participants,%72,5, coitus interruptus method is distrustful. Although 38,2% of condom users said that condom doesn?t cause frigidity and most of them ,%61,8, said that condom causes frigidity they continue using condom.Keywords; Keywords; Family Planning, Family Planning Methods, Men?s Contraception, Contraception, Contraceptive Methods.
