Abstract (EN)

The aim of this study is to determine the effect of design factors on the structural behavior of shear wall in the production stage of plywood used in wooden carcass structures and in the stage of using it as a covering material in shear walls. In the study, two different wood types, two different fiber directions, parallel and perpendicular to the plywood fiber direction, two-way and one-way design of the plywood on the shear wall, two different types of insulator, two different types of nail and phenol formaldehyde glue were used as the adhesive type. Shear strength, bending strength, modulus of elasticity in bending, specific gravity and thermal conductivity tests on the plywood boards produced are; It has been applied according to TS EN 314-1, TS EN 310, TS EN 717-3, TS EN 323, ASTM C 518 standards. The structural behavior of shear walls produced in exact dimensions was determined according to ASTM E 72 standard and maximum load carrying capacity and maximum displacement amounts belonging to each group were obtained.
