Özet (EN)
People spend most of their time indoors. In this respect, the air he breathes in a closed environment is important for human beings. In closed environments, there are harmful gases as well as beneficial gases for humans. One of these harmful gases is radon gas. Radon is a radioactive gas that is formed as a result of the decay of uranium and can harm human health. For this reason, the radon gas concentration in indoor environments is also important. In this study, radon gas activity in the air was measured in the study rooms of Konya E Type Closed Penitentiary Institution personnel. AlphaGUARD measuring device was used in this measurement. The average radon activity concentration in the staff study rooms where the research was carried out was determined as 54,07 Bq/m3. The result of this measurement was below the limit value determined by TENMAK and it was concluded that there was no risk in terms of health.
