Özet (EN)

Twenty dogs from different breed, age and sex that have had congenital and traumatic lesions of art. coxae, which were brougth to the clinics of Adanan Menderes University Veterinary Faculty, Department of Surgial between the years of 2007 - 2009, formed the material of the study. After clinical and radiographical examinations, displasia of the hip joint in 13 dogs, traumatic luxation of art. coxae in 5 dogs, fracture of the femoral head in 2 dogs were determined. Xylazin hydrochloride (1 mg/kg) ve ketamin HCl (11 mg/kg) were administered for premedication with propofolle (4 mg/kg), then isoflurane was used for general anesthesia. Excision of the femoral head and neck was performed after a cranio-lateral approach for osteotomy which begins medial aspect of greater trochanter and ends at the proximal aspect of the lesser trochanter. Usual clinical and radiographic examination were performed. Postoperative progress could not be obtain in one dog. 16 case was assesed clinical and radiological during postoperative period and fuctional recovery was obtained.
