Japan's surrender in August 1945 and World War II. With the end of World War II, a new world order emerged. The United Nations was established to support international conflicts and bring together cooperation. II. It is the cold war between the USSR (Union of Soviet Socialist Republics) and the USA (United States of America) after World War II. The most important of these wars is the Korean War, which broke out on the Korean peninsula. The reason why this war occurred was the location of the reconstruction of the peninsula. Due to its strategic location, it has been occupied by many states. One of these states was Japan. The Korean peninsula, which was occupied by Japan during World War II. After World War II, it could be divided by the 38th parallel. The north was under the protection of the USSR and the south was under the protection of the USA. The imperialist attitude of the USSR in this period was based on cooperation with other world states in military, political and economic terms. As a result, many organizations were established. It is made of components for economic, military and defense purposes. The most important of these agreements is NATO. (North Atlantic Defense Pact) The search for colonies and raw materials began among the world states.States that sought colonies and raw materials, and constantly developing countries, wanted to use them in this direction. One of this diversity was Türkiye. Turkey is subject to constant occupation by other states due to its geopolitical location. During this period, the USSR pursued the greatest imperialist policy. The war began when North Korea attacked South Korea in June 1950. In order to join NATO, Turkey followed the instructions of the United Nations and took advantage of this event, and a ceremony was held to send soldiers to South Korea. The success of the Turkish soldier in the Korean War attracted the attention of all states of the world. This situation was effective in Turkey joining NATO. Türkiye became a member of NATO with the protocol signed on October 17, 1951. After the Korean War, one of the important problems that Turkey dealt with was the Cyprus problem. Cyprus, which was left to England in 1878 with a treaty of the Ottoman Empire, became a problem that continued until it decayed. It is of vital importance in terms of underground riches such as oil and natural gas in the Mediterranean basin. All of these are extremely important problems for Cyprus and Türkiye. Between 1955 and 1974, the Greeks carried out many atrocity policies. As a result of the massacres carried out by the Greek Cypriots against the Turkish Cypriots, Turkey, using its rights arising from international law, carried out military operations against Cyprus twice in 1974 to ensure the loss of life and property of its compatriots on the island. As a result, two state domination emerged on the island. This is the ideal solution for the island of Cyprus. There were many news about this operation in the Diyarbakır press between 1950 and 1974. It is known that by 1974, nearly twenty newspapers were published in Diyarbakır.
