Abstract (EN)

In this study, it was aimed to determine the effects of coronavirus disease (Covid-19) on the gastrointestinal system. For this purpose, the data obtained through the questionnaire from the participants who had covid-19 were tried to be analyzed. In the study, in which the screening model was used, it was determined that the demographic findings of the participants and the symptoms such as fatigue, weight loss, loss of appetite, dry mouth, sore throat, difficulty in swallowing, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea were seen in those who had Covid-19 disease. 115 people who were determined on a voluntary basis participated in the study. According to the results obtained, it was determined that the most common symptom was fatigue with 95.1%. In addition, 29% abdominal pain, 56.4% loss of appetite (anorexia), 45% nausea, 14% vomiting and 28% diarrhea were observed. In the study, it was understood that the evaluation of gastrointestinal symptoms in Covid-19 patients is very important and attention should be paid to gastrointestinal symptoms in these patients. It has been concluded that it is important to define the clinical features of people with mild disease for the early diagnosis of Covid-19 in patients who do not show respiratory symptoms.
