Effect of KOSGEB's women's entrepreneurshi̇p supports on development

When the development processes in Turkey are examined, it is seen that there are regional inequalities in general. While some regions of Turkey develop due to social, cultural and economic reasons, the remaining regions cannot develop in the same way. Regional differences between the West and the East are important for local development while moving towards national development and emerge as an important parameter. In order to eliminate inequality between regions, it is important to highlight the people living in the region and the resources in the region. At this point, it is important to develop entrepreneurship in the regional development process and to integrate the potentials in the region into the development process. Women's entrepreneurship is also included in the potentials in question. The participation of women in business life is an important factor for development in a country or region. This study aims to discuss the effects of KOSGEB supports on the role of women's entrepreneurship in local economic development and the problems experienced. The study was carried out with ten (10) women entrepreneurs registered with Batman KOSGEB operating in Batman province. Attention was paid to women working in different sectors, the interview method was used and the impact of KOSGEB grant programs, which minimize the existing gender discrimination and increase the effective participation and productivity of women in business life, on economic development was mentioned. In this study prepared specifically for Batman Province, it is described that the added value provided by women in terms of entrepreneurship is to provide employment, ensure economic progress and development by being in some sectors where investments are made in order to protect the values that are on the verge of extinction in the province
