Abstract (EN)

The development and survival of states and societies are closely related to the quality of education and training. Education, therefore, has become and will be a field of thought for the past and future of states and societies. The quality of education is determined by periodic conditions and needs scale. It is important here that the requirements can be met under periodic conditions. Until the need for modernization was established in the Ottoman State, education was based on religion, and this training given through medicines and lectures was considered sufficient. However, it was realized that this form of education was not enough, especially during periods when Bat was superior to the Ottoman State, that it lost its social and state-building qualities. This awareness has brought along efforts to modernize and innovate in education. These reform efforts, which are called as Islahat, have also shown themselves in the fields of primary education and teacher training. The renewal movements in these two areas are due to the elimination of the lack of teachers who can provide modern education and the purpose of starting from the first stage of education. Until the National Struggle was won and the new state was established and the Republic was declared, these reforms never brought success to the desired scale and the desired targets could not be reached. The education problem of the villagers was noticed during the period beginning with the Tanzimat, and the intellectuals who passed Anatolia to participate in the struggle during the National Struggle period became witnesses that many of the villagers were neglected in terms of education as well. As a result, the education issue of the Anatolian peasantry was carefully emphasized during the Republican period. At the same time, 75 per cent of the population of the country is living in the villages, leading to the priority of educating the villagers and improving the peasants. In other words, the issue of educating the villagers and the development of the villagers became a necessity. In this direction, the idea of educating teachers is to act in the villages and to be an example for every issue related to the villagers and the villagers. With this idea, many institutions have been introduced to train the peasantry. Undoubtedly, the most important of these institutions was the Village Institutes opened in 1940. The Village Institutes have been brought to the market as a system for the solution of all the problems related to the villagers and the villagers and the education programs have been arranged accordingly and their working styles and duties have been determined accordingly. These institutions, which served the country for 14 years, were finally infected with politics and students and teachers became tools for political controversy, and these institutions were closed down in 1954, criticized in many ways. The main topic of the work was the examination of the process and the Village Institutes that came to the Village Institutes. As an example from the Village Institutes, the Village Institute of Pazarören was discussed.
