Özet (EN)

In recent years, the rise of globalization has led to complications and deepening in the structure of financial markets. As a result, the decline in confidence in the markets prompted investors to decide whether official authorities should analyze the market to enlighten public games. Rating agencies are internationally recognized institutions that analyze whether a company or country can fulfill its financial obligations on time and enlighten the public with universal symbols. Credit rating agencies are a sector in the financial markets that has gained great importance in the last 150 years. International credit rating agencies, initially set up for different purposes, have become popular in recent years as a supervisor and regulator in the markets. In this context, this study used the general information about the credit rating concept and the comparative country rating index in the context of the evaluation of the rating criteria of the credit rating agencies and the effect of the Turkish economy, after explaining the scope of the credit rating.
