Abstract (EN)
Kremna, one of the cities of Pisidia, attained the status of polis in the Late Hellenistic Period and minted its first coins in silver together with Keraeitai from the middle of the 1st century BC. It started to produce its first bronze coins when it came under the rule of King Amyntas of Galatia and continued to produce them until 25 BC, the date of his death. Produced in 25 series, these coins include a series with Greek year letters represented the years of minting (B-Z). Kremna was re-established as a Roman colony during the Augustan period. Colonial coinage, which had begun during the reign of Hadrianus, ceased with the reign of Aurelianus. In a period of about 170 years, the colony minted 131 issues of coins in the name of 30 different emperors/ empresses/caesars. The heads or busts of the emperors, empresses and caesars are looking to the right on the obverse of the coins. In addition to these, only during the Antonine period did the colony produced pseudo-autonomous coins with the head of Heracles on the obverse. On the reverse of the coins, 42 different main types and 59 types and their variations were used all represented in 59 types. The reverse depict the types associated with the colony, members of the dynasty, Hellenic and Roman gods.
