Abstract (EN)
Economics has been in every sphere of life since the emergence of humanity. Money, which forms the basis of economics, is the most important tool for sustaining our lives. However, with the evolution of money, it began to be abstracted, and this led to various debates. In this study, whether the crypto currency can create an alternative currency to the existing currencies and in this case the possible perspectives of central banks will be discussed. In this study conducted with the literature review method, it was evaluated that if central banks act with current monetary policies by producing crypto or digital money, it may cause inefficiency and failure in policies. If the central banks supply crypto or digital money, it is necessary to regulate monetary policies or to create new policies. If the central banks do not supply crypto or digital money, they will have no control in the market and cause the traditional monetary system to deform over time. In the conclusion part of the study, a general evaluation is made about crypto currencies and central banks and suggestions are made.
