Abstract (EN)
The concepts of globalization, crisis, poverty, and female employment must be examined in terms of the relationship between them just as they must be studied separately. The waves of globalization felt throughout the world have no doubt affected the employment of women. Similarly, crises and poverty are concepts that have affected female employment and are found to have had positively or negatively influence among them. The problem of employment, which garners significant importance for the growth and development of countries, is one with which the problem of female employment in particular cannot be solved. Along with poverty, one of the negative consequences of globalization, women are forced to work in cheap and unsecure jobs that are increasing together with globalization. The increase in female employment therefore cannot be a solution to poverty and could make female poverty permanent. Additionally, crises affect female employment in either an increasing or decreasing manner. The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between crises, global poverty, and female employment. A qualitative study was conducted to examine the relationship between these concepts and the reasons for and conditions of female employment, the obstacles they face when they enter the labor market, and the problems they face in the workplace. Mostly quantitative studies have been conducted in the research related to this issue, and qualitative studies are limited. However, it is more productive to acquire results by meeting on-on-one with women, the group most affected by the poverty, globalization, crises, and the relationship of these with female employment, and by analyzing "wat they mean, how they influence, what results they bring forth, and solution recommendations" from the perspective of those affected, in order to research these concepts. The concepts of economic crises, female employment, globalization, and poverty and the relationships between them have been explained in this study. A literature review over the relationships between these concepts was conducted in the application section of the study, and interviews with a semi-structured interview method were later held with 30 participant women who work in the private sector in the province of Bilecik, the sampling of the research. Evaluations were identified from the perspective of the women as a result of the interviews. Finally, evaluations were made and concluded regarding the study.
