Özet (EN)

The interview has been made in order to study effects of work-family conflicts experienced by medical secretaries working in health sector on job satisfaction. In this context, questions on semi-structured interview form which are consisted of 7 questions have addressed to 30 female medical secretaries working at Kırklareli Local Health Authority, Kırklareli State Hospital and at Lüleburgaz, Babaeski, Pınarhisar and Vize State Hospitals which constitute Country State Hospitals. Content analysis method has been carried out to the answers given to the interview questions and thus acquired data have been interpreted. As the acquired results are evaluated; it can be seen that the medical secretaries have commonly remarked their views as their business processes are intensive. The medical secretaries, whom have been interviewed, have mentioned about existance of long working hours, and besides they noticed that they could not allocate enough time to their families when going home from the work, as a result of mental and physical fatigue which derive from intensive work pressure in hours of work. who have children have complaint about that they could not show their interest to their children sufficiently when arriving at home after the shift. Furthermore, they have expressed that, after intensive hours of work in weekday, they spared their weekends or off-times for resting, therefore they have mentioned that they had difficulties about sparing necessary times for their children, and so they specified that they could not provide claims coming from their children most of the time.
