Determination of the nutritional contents of TMR used in feedlot facilities in Kirşehir province

This study was conducted to determine the nutrient contents of TMR used in fattening enterprises operating in Kırşehir province. For this purpose, a total of 25 fattening farms were visited technically in Merkez, Mucur, Akpınar, Akçakent and Boztepe districts of Kırşehir. During these visits, feed samples were taken from the feed pinch poured directly in front of the animals during feeding. As a result of feed analysis, the dry matter (KM), crude protein (HP), ether extract (HY), crude ash (HK), crude fiber (HS), ADF, NDF, ADL and ME (kkal/ kg) contents of TMR poured into animal feeders were determined as 95.57-96.42%, 10.48-11.71%, 2.58-3.67%, 7.25-8.85%, 55.60-58.33%, 16.14-22.10%, 22.67-29.53%, 27.00-36.13%, 6.83-8.59% and 2705-2810 Kcal/kg, respectively. Fattening enterprises were found to be different in terms of nutrient compositions of TMRs (P <0.01). Compared to each other (calf and heifer), the feed protein (11.58-10.57%, P <0.01), ADF (30.30-26.81%, P <0.01) and ADL values (8.96-7.26%, P <0.01) were lower but it was, also, richer in terms of NÖM. To conclude, it was understood that Kırşehir beef cattle keepers feed beef cattle as fattening material, generally, in accordance with their nutritional requirements.
