Abstract (EN)

In the study, lactation records of 4050 Brown Swiss Dairy Cattles raised in Kırşehir province were evaluated. 305 days milk yield (305 DMY), lactation period (LP) and dry period (DP) from milk yield characteristics and calving interval (CI) from reproductive yield characteristics were emphasized. The effects of birth year, lactation order, calving season, farm size and calving age, which are thought to affect these characteristics, were investigated. Descriptive statistics of 305 DMY, LP, DP and CI were found to be 4607.1±26.1, 362.24±1.63, 63.242±0.361 and 396.11±1.51, respectively. As a result, it is thought that the calculated phenotypic parameters can be used as selection criteria in breeding studies and increase the success in selection. In addition, the calculation of this value shows that other dairy cattle breeds have started to be raised in the region rather than Brown Swiss cattle, and the trend may be in this direction.
