Abstract (EN)

The study was conducted on 1026 adult patients admitted with hematuria without a diagnosis of bladder tumor. Uroradialogical examinations were completed, NMP22BC tests were done and patients were endoscopically investigated. Statistical values of NMP22BC test in diagnosing bladder tumor was calculated as: Sensitivity 81,2%, specificity 35%, positive predictive value 91,4%, negative predictive value 18%. NMP22BC test was positive in all patients having renal pelvis tumor. It was calculated that urolithiazis, renal parenchymal tumors, renal cystic disease, urinary tract infection, prostatic diseases, urethral strictures were found to cause false positive values, while the test was helpful in the diagnosis of bladder and renal pelvis tumors.
