Philosophical foundations of quantum theory: a reviewon von neumann-birkhoff quantum logic

Quantum theory is a theory that has been put forward to provide solutions to the problems that classical physics is insufficient to explain and is still developing. Many physicists have contributed to the development of this theory, which is based on Ancient Greek philosophy by some physicists. The theory has led to some developments and changes not only in the field of physics, but also in the fields of philosophy, mathematics and logic. Quantum mechanics, which classical mathematics and logic rules are insufficient to explain, also necessitated the establishment of a new logic system called quantum logic. In our thesis, we tried to explain the philosophical foundations, development and results of quantum theory, and quantum logic, which is one of these results, in particular and in general terms, in the work of von Neumann and Birkhoff.
