Abstract (EN)
NSCLC remains the most deadly cancer type worldwide. However,the diagnosis of lung cancer is mainly based on histopathological analysis, new diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers are still under investigation. In this study, the polymorphism and protein analysis of PD-1 / PDL-1 molecules are examined in terms of susceptibility to NSCLC disease and possible relationship with clinical parameters.There was no difference between the genotype and allele distributions of PD-1 C/T and PD-L1 A/C SNP between the patients and controls. PD-L1 A/C polymorphism; The AA genotype was higher in patients than in controls and the difference was significant (p=0.043). For PD-1 C/T gene polymorphism;CC genotype was higher in the presence of angiolymphatic invasion than CC genotype in the absence of angiolymphatic invasion, and the difference was significant (p=0.028). CT genotype carrying status was higher in patients without angiolymphatic invasion compared to patients with angiolymphatic invasion and the difference was significant (p=0.047).The presence of CC genotype in the presence of perineural invasion was found to be higher than the patients with CC genotype in the absence of perineural invasion and the difference was significant (p=0.026).Serum PD-1 levels; CC genotype was found to be higher in patients compared to the control group, and the difference was significantly significant (p=0.008). When the PD-1 and PD-L1 genotypes were examined together, CTAC combined genotype carrying in the control group was found to be higher than the patient group and the difference was significant (p=0.016).Also; PD-L1 molecule expression value was higher in tumor tissue when compared with normal tissue expression value and the difference was statistically significant (p<0,0001).
