Abstract (EN)
Water bodies need to be investigated together with their watershed to create an effective watershed managment strategy. In unpolluted watersheds the diffuse pollutant sources are of primary importance. In this study, interaction of water bodies with their watershed is examined and qualitative effects of basin processes on quality components are determined. The study area has been selected as the Borabey Pond which is located on the Bozdağ slopes to the north of Eskişehir. Pond water quality has been examined on a monthly basis, and in addition to this, rain water collection and analysis has been conducted in order to determine loads coming from the atmosphere onto the watershed. Also, physical and chemical soil properties of the watershed are analyzed. The qualiy class of the pond has come out to be second class according to SKKY. The pond shows an mezotrophic level. The pollution load increased in spring due to the pollutants coming with the inflowing stream. Key Words: Borabey Pond, Water Quality, Atmospheric Depositon, Watershed Processes
