Abstract (EN)

This thesis aims to investigate the role of cultural influences in user-centered interface design. It posits that the success of digital products in the global market is achieved not only through technical usability but also through compliance with the target audience's cultural norms, cognitive tendencies, and aesthetic expectations. The theoretical framework is based on usability principles, interaction design, and cultural dimension models. The study's application phase involved a comparative analysis of a universal design and a localized design tailored for east asian culture. findings demonstrated that cultural differences directly impact core interface components, including colors, typography, visual hierarchy, layout, and symbolism. While the standard design focused on western principles of minimalism and direct emphasis, the localized design employed traditional symbols and visual richness to meet the aesthetic and trustworthiness expectations of high-context cultures. In conclusion, the study emphasizes that cultural adaptation is a necessity in interface design, and designers must strategically utilize cultural codes as a tool for success in global competition.
