Abstract (EN)
It has almost been impossible to agree on a compromisable definition of culture concept because of subjective approaches and diversity of meaning. The origins of meanings referred to culture concept and its subjective usage in modern World have very vital points to be able to grasp main ideas indicating the importance of the concept. Speculative, functional and subjective meanings attributed to culture concept through various philosophers and their schools are going to be studied in the "Introduction" part. Culture with conceptual dimensions is going to be studied on the basis of speculations. How these speculations are intentionally transformed into acts will be explained in the next chapters. Unquestionably the reason underlying the existence of 'culture' word is human. There is no word for culture without human being. The rise of culture begins with human being even in the ancient times. Culture word which was primarily used for agricultural purposes in forms of verb, gradually progresses with human driven cultivation. For that reason, it becomes indispensable to study of the nature of man. The essence of the study in chapter "What is man?" is basically the natural and cultured condition of man. In this sense, we question the position of man to the culture and culture to the man. The existence of culture concept and even its pronunciation is a sign that proves culture rose during the time people could speak. Language was used as an indispensable means especially by the deliberate shaping and formatting ideal of 18th century. To be able to exhibit the relationship of language with culture; a study concerning origins of language and its relations with human senses are going to be studied in chapter "The Function of Language in Terms of Culture". In the final chapter of the thesis "Criticism and The effect of Culture to Modern World" we are going to draw attention to the misbelief that aligns being educated, rational and scientific with being cultured. So, those who put forward culture concept are not Enlightenment era in terms of rational and modern thinking but peasants with intuition and strong emotions. However, critics of culture are going to be mainly on 18th century Enlightenment era, rationality and modernism because of the fact that Enlightenment era deliberately changed the meaning of culture concept in a pseudo positive way. On this basis, things that are filtered through culture are total, rational but dull and deprived of natural sensations.
