Abstract (EN)

SUMMARY The cultivation method of Pleurotus spp. is easy and its production cost is low. Therefore, it can be produced in the proper climatic conditions of different regions of country without modern buildings. In the scope of thesis, P.florida mushroom's cultivation has been studied on some Lignocellulosic wastes. Study was composed of 10 experiments in which main substrates including wheat straw, corn-cob, grass, clower, sawdust, the cob and leaf of hazelnut, the leaves of hardwood, the waste of tea-leaf, waste paper were used. The method suggested by FAO was applied for compost preparation in the whole experiments. Each experiment has been completed within a period of 1.5-2 months. Numbers and fresh weights of mushrooms and their diameters were determined. Results indicated that spring and summer season were more suitable for P.florida and higher yield was observed in case of mixture use of substrates. The procedure of composting and enough fresh mycelia positively affected the yield and early-rising. Waste paper and sawdust increased important cultivation parameters such as fresh weight, productivity and mushroom's quality aspects. Mixtures based on grass and clower almost gave a negative cultivation results and increased the risk of contamination. It can be concluded that substrates such as the cob and leaf of hazelnut, wheat straw, sawdust, corn-cob, waste of tea-leaf abundantly existed in Eastern Karadeniz Region have suitable properties for P.florida cultivation.
