Abstract (EN)
Cultural policies are the policies that state institutions related to the cultural, local administrations and non-governmental organizations of that country follow in that area. Intellectual property concept is an important part of cultural policies. In Turkey, intellectual property implementation roots back before the foundation of the republic. This concept has gained even more important place within the necessities caused by the developing technology, globalization and European Union integration process. Turkey has been continuing its studies for drafts of cultural policies including intellectual property, and European Union member states, on the other hand, has completed and updated their draft studies that is also expected to be published by Turkey.In this study, disposition of Turkey on cultural policies and intellectual property, its aproaches and measures on these subjects, development plans and specialization reports shall be arranged and development and cultural policies and intellectual property concepts, institutional structure and functions shall be analyzed.This thesis shall used series of main sources, statutory decress and parlimentary decisions such as ministry publications that are focuces on political researches of a number of nations.Key words: Cultural policies, Intellectual Property, European Union
