Character structure analysis in Japanese Manga and anime art under the influence of cultural narratives

Japanese art of drawing, known as manga, is one of the most significant works of Japanese popular culture that emerged in the 1970s. The recognition of Japanese comic books, or mangas, led to the worldwide spread of the subsequently developed animations, known as anime. Anime is the name of an animation genre developed in Japan, based on Japanese comic books called manga. Manga and anime share common features and similar drawing techniques. The most distinctive feature of anime is the exaggeratedly drawn large eyes and attention-grabbing body lines. The influence of Japanese society's traditions and history on manga and anime examples, character designs, and the impact on manga and anime art form, constitutes the subject of the study. The scope of the study is based on the examination of the character structure of Japanese manga and anime art under the influence of cultural narratives and through the analysis of manga and anime art as cultural forms. The history and developmental processes of Japanese comic art, the influence of cultural narratives on manga and anime, and the interaction of manga and anime themes have been examined in this context. The purpose of the study is to examine the roots of Japanese manga and anime art and to identify the stages of evolution of the character phenomenon in manga and anime over time. At the end of the research, a manga comic book application was created to reflect the characteristic features of Japanese drawing art. The study utilized a literature review method to obtain data from written and visual sources, and qualitative research and descriptive analysis methods were employed.
