Abstract (EN)

Family is seen as an important medium of cultural interaction. Family, which is one of the most important institutions of the societies, can be formed by marrying individuals from the same culture or by marrying individuals from different cultures. In Alanya, where 10% of the population is of foreign nationality, the number of individuals who have married from different cultures is quite high. In this study, by using interview technique with 35 people who had intercultural marriage in Alanya, conflict and harmony issues that may arise in intercultural marriages were investigated. Findings reveal that in intercultural marriages, there is no conflict and harmony about any subject and individuals synthesize two different cultures.
