Typologies of people that Allah loves and dislikes in the holy Quran

The Almighty God has embedded both negative emotional inclinations such as hatred, resentment, stinginess, and jealousy, and positive ones like love, affection, and compassion into the innate nature of human beings. These innate characteristics are arranged in a way that allows for the free exercise of human will. They carry the potential for individuals to develop either virtuous or deviant behaviors. Love is one of these fundamental emotions bestowed upon humans by their very nature. This innate sense of love enables individuals to feel affection and respect for all living beings, starting with those closest to them -such as their parents, spouses, and children- within the society in which they live. This bond of love is a fundamental necessity for the psychological and emotional well-being of humans as social beings. Just as God is the ultimate source of all beauty, He is also the true origin of love. This truth is manifested in His name "Al-Wadûd" (The Most Loving). The name "AlWadûd" carries a dual meaning: "the One who deeply loves His servants" and "the One who is deeply loved by His servants." For this reason, Sufi scholars regard love as the primary force behind the creation of all existence. In order for the boundless love of our Lord to reach His servants, those servants must possess certain virtues. Through their righteous deeds, they can draw closer to God and earn His love, or through particular behaviors, they may incur His wrath and displeasure, thereby distancing themselves from His mercy and love. The Qur'an explicitly states who these people are. This study will examine the fundamental characteristics of the individuals whom God loves and does not love according to the Qur'an, and it will focus on the actions and behaviors that lead to either God's love or His displeasure.
