Psychology of pregnancy and motherhood in the Qur'an

The position of motherhood, which is the messenger of Allah's mercy and kindness on earth, has a great importance in Islam. This is due to the difficulty of the pregnancy process. The pregnancy process is a very special moment. It contains not only physiological, but also mental and psychological factors. The value of the mother who survived this difficult process by seeking refuge in her Lord and who will raise good generations as a result has been conveyed through verses and hadiths. In our study, the pregnancy process, its psychology and motherhood concepts were examined. The focus concept h-m-l has been subjected to semantic examination and related concepts have also been included. The concept of h-m-l, which is used in many forms and meanings, comes to a single meaning when considering many things. It has been used in many senses such as to load, to be loaded, responsibility, carrying, carried, distress and pregnancy. The purpose of our discussion of the topic in the first part is to make a semantic analysis of the concept of h-m-l, and in the second part, to consider the topic in the context of the psychology of pregnancy and motherhood.
