Persistence in the Qur'an

With this research, the nature of the concept of perseverance, which is a virtuous behavior, and it is meanings in the Qur'an have been tried to be revealed. In this context, in the section of the research, it had been started by mentioning the lexical and terminological meanings of the concept of perseverance, which is an indispensable virtue for human beings, The verses in which the word persistence are mentioned had been determined and possible meanings had been emphasized. To understand the word persistence better, its synonymous with persistence such as perseverance, patience, fortitude, continue, effort, insistence; the words having opposite meanings with it such as heedlessness, weakness, looseness and incapable had been tried to be explained. The second part of the study had been started by examining some concepts such as oneness, faith, patience, parable, prayer and dhikr, which are thought to be related to persistence. Information about the importance of perseverance and then the characteristics of steadfast people had took a place in terms of the verses. The situations which strengthen persistence had been tried to be put forward with their evidences. In the last part of the research, worldly and ethereal gains of perseverance had been touched.
