Analysis of the stories in the Qur'an in the context of ayat al-ahkâm (The sample of Talat Koçyiğit)

The Quran was sent by Allah as a sacred book to guide all humanity and lead them to the right path. The first interlocutors read this holy book and tried to understand it in line with their abilities and competence. Ulema, on the other hand, have made great efforts to understand it and have written very valuable commentaries in this sense. One of these efforts was made by Talat Koçyiğit, who taught hadith courses at Ankara Faculty of Theology for years and wrote works on hadith. Talat Koçyiğit first started this work with İsmail Cerrahoğlu. However, after Cerrahoğlu left after the first volume, Koçyiğit continued this work alone. The evaluation of this interpretation in terms of worship, transactions and conclusion in the stories of the Quran has been the subject of the research. This study consists of an introduction and two parts. In the first part, Koçyiğit's life, works and tafsir writing from the perspective of a hadith scholar were examined. In the second part, Koçyiğit's explanations of the verses of the Qur'an were researched in the context of worship, transactions and ukûbat. The verses examined at this level were grouped according to whether they were Makki or Madani, and the verses were evaluated according to the order of revelation. Thus, the relevant verses were discussed one by one and examined comparatively with some commentaries based on Koçyiğit's commentary and explanations. The research was completed with the conclusion section where the data obtained was written.
