Abstract (EN)

When we examine the Qur'an's approach to property, we see that it does not reject property, it welcomes it, and it is necessary for life. At this point, the point that is criticized is not the property itself, but the attitude of people towards it. In other words, it is the fact that man has dominion over property but property does not dominate man. As a matter of fact, the relationship of man with property is like the relationship between the sea and the ship. Unless the ship receives water from the sea, it floats thanks to the sea and reaches its destination. If it starts to take on water, it will sink. If a person sees property not as a means but as an end, it fills the heart of a person like the water in a ship and causes the person to perish. Man is not the absolute owner of his property. In the Qur'an, property is handled in two dimensions: absolute property right belongs to God, property belongs to human being relative. With this dual understanding, the Qur'an has tried to establish a balance by placing the idea that a person should not be arrogant with wealth, be proud, not possess self-sufficient, and should not see himself as self-sufficient by being influenced by factors such as the nafs and the devil. The most striking example of this is the example of Karun, which is located between the 76-82 verses of the chapter of Kasas. In the Qur'an, the legendary property of Karun was emphasized, but his possession of property was not criticized. Only the fact that the property is a reason for personal negative attitudes and behaviors and loss of value has been criticized. From this point of view, the Qur'an does not mean that wealth is not a power or position circulating only among the rich; He put forward a moral principle that can be summarized as that every segment should benefit from them in a balanced and fair manner.
