The effect of i'rab aspects on understanding the Quran: The example of Surah İbrahim

It is necessary to know the Arabic language in order to understand the Quran, which Allah Almighty revealed in Arabic. It is accepted by scholars that the science of i'rab, which is described as the basis of this language, is of great importance. The effects of i'râb aspects in understanding the verses find a wide place in the works of commentators such as i'râbu'l-Qur'an. In addition, it is considered impossible to give the correct meaning to the verses without knowing the science of I'rab. Because changing the positions of words, which are characteristic of the Arabic language, affects the meanings, or words with different actions can completely change the meaning. In this study, we tried to touch upon the importance and effect of the science of i'rab for the correct understanding of the Quran. The thesis named "The Effect of I'rab Aspects on the Understanding of the Quran: The Example of Surah Ibrahim" consists of an introduction and two chapters. In the introduction section, the subject, importance, purpose, method of the thesis, the works used in the thesis and the works written in the field of I'rabü'l-Qur'an are mentioned. In the first chapter, the conceptual definition of the science of i'rab, its importance, its benefits, its relationship with other sciences and the situations that cause the differences in i'rab are included. In the second part, the verses in the Ibrahim Surah were discussed in terms of i'rab and the verses with different i'rab evaluations were tried to be examined one by one. As a result of the study, it was tried to be discussed comparatively how the i'rab aspects in the verses and the changes in meaning resulting from them affect the meaning.
