The exegesis of the Qur'an according to the order of revelation

The issue of the exegesis of the Qur'an according to the order of revelation is the subject of this dissertation. While the period of revelation and textualisation of the Qur'an will be explained, attention will also be brought to the Qu'ran's arrangement in light of the Mushaf's arrangement. In the second section, an examination of both the classical sources and contemporary studies has been made in addition to the order and narrations according to order of revelation. In the thrid section, the justifications for commentating on the Quran according to its order of revelation will be analysed and its advantages and disadvantages will be presented. The views in relation to this approach will be provided in the final section. Through this means, it is aimed that the reader may acquire an idea concerning exegesis' which are written according to the revelation order of the Quran.
