Abstract (EN)
This thesis, researches the issues that feminists criticize about the perception of women produced by considering the verses of the Qur'an, through the example of marriage and divorce. This thesis, which provides a versatile assessment about the issue mentioned above, consists of four main topics: The historical process that was effective in the formation of the feminist discourse on the verses of the Qur'an, the role of women in family in life the traditional Islamic perspective, the role of women in family life in the Modern Islamic perspective and the critics of the feminists to the perception of the women produced by considering the Qur'anic verses, in the context of marriage and divorce. It has been observed that the criticisms made about women's rights in Islam were not became definite among women in the Islamic world, and it has turned into a sensitive issue for them in particular. Therefore, this study has focused on subjects such as spouse selection, mahr, early ages marriage, polygamy, obedience to husband, violence against women and competence in divorce. In order to understand the position of women in family life in Islam, the interpretations in Islamic thought were examined within the contexts they belonged to.
