Abstract (EN)
Islam and Judaism are two active world religions that have close historical, sociological and culturel relations, both postive and negative. In numerical terms, the Jewish population is very small compared to the Muslim population worldwide. Despite this Islam and Judasim emerged in the same geopraphy as they are two major world religions with their historical origin and specific importance. They have been in geographies close to each other throughout history and have some typological similarities. However, from time to time, they attract all the attention by taking a pejorative approach to each other. In order to determine the boundaries of the Jewish potrait of Islam the way the Qur'an deals with Jews is revealed in detail. The Quran sometimes has harsh criticisms that their approach is negative on this issue. Jews are harshly criticized by the Qur'an for their concealment of the right, their mocking of Muslims, allegations of being the son of god, not to keep their promise, their ingratitude, opportunism, lying and similar qualities. This study consists of two sections, excluding the introduction and conclusion sections. In the introduction part of the study, after giving a brief information about Jewish history, it was tried to given information about its subject, importance, purpose and method. In the first part of the study, different views of historians about how and when Jews came to the Arabian peninsula are given. Then Prophet Muhammed was given about the level of the relationship between the Prophet and Jews by considering both the war period and the peace period. By giving information about the Jewish tribes living in Madinah and other Jewish tribes living outside Madinah, the attitudes and behaviors of these tribes against Muslims were mentioned. Towards the end this chapter, it was given information about the reasons why Jews didn't accept the Prophet Muhammed and Jews attitude and behaviours to him. In the second part of the study, it is briefly mentioned how the Jews are handled in the Makkah and Madinah verses and what appeal differences are. Later, the characteristics of Jews and their features are described in the verses of the Qur'an. In the conclusion part of the study, general information about the research subject is included and evaluations are made for the findings obtained.
