Abstract (EN)

Global climate change is a long-term phenomenon observed around the world. and the change of climatic conditions that has been scientifically proven. These changes are long-term trends occurring in the weather and climate systems on our planet. Based on these trends, the study aims to determine the relationships between how the increase in air temperature affects the sea water temperature and the change in fish populations accordingly, starting from the factors contributing to global climate change in Turkey. The impact of adverse conditions caused by global climate change in the seas on fish populations brings with it the inevitable consequences of habitat losses that may be experienced in aquatic ecosystems. In this context, Turkey's air temperature, sea water temperature and fish population data between 2000-2020 were brought together with the literature review. In the study, anchovies among the pelagic sea creatures living in the seas of Turkey, bonito, sardines, lobsters and bluefish were chosen as decision-making units. Within the scope of the study, how the air temperature and sea water temperature caused by the global climate change that occurred in Turkey between 2000-2020 affect the selected fish populations will be determined by using statistical methods Correlation and Multiple linear regression analyzes. First, the distribution of sea water temperature and air temperature averages in Turkey over the years will be described graphically. Next, the relationship (correlation) between sea water temperature, air temperature and fish population will be examined. Finally, how fish populations are affected by sea water temperature and air temperature averages will be determined using multiple linear regression analysis. In this way, the impact of global climate change on the fish population in Turkey will be examined.
