New media practices in Turkey in the context of globalization

Globalization process occured after the endustrial revaolutin even as a economical based term, it turned in to a process that also effects the humanity cultural and politics over time. New media, which occured by the efferct of technological development and added a new dimension to communication, has effected by this globalization process and also contributes this process by making easy to spread information. New media has crossed the border of traditional media and became an actor in the global scale, with the help new media applications. With the new media, technological communication tools has appeared and news, culture, and produced products has spreaded to the every points of the World through this applications. In this Project, we have discussed the term of globalization together with historical process and we have explained media term under traditional and new media title.also we tried to explain the new media applications in Turkey in the context of globalization, by using interview methot. As a result of a study, it was concluded that, new media and globalization terms influence each other. Key words: Globalization, new media, new media applications, internet.
