Özet (EN)

The concept of globalization is widely used today. After the 1980s, the phenomenon of globalization was significantly influenced both by developed and developing countries in economic, social, political and cultural fields. The most controversial fields regarding the affect of globalization are income distribution and poverty. According to some, globalization is a process of increasing inequality and poverty while others believe income distribution decreases inequality and poverty. Thus, the objective of current study is to identify the impact of globalization process on inequality in income distribution and poverty in world countries. The main topics of the study globalization, poverty, inequality of income distribution, and then the global view of poverty and income inequality are discussed in order to reach this objective. Statistical analysis related to 151 world countries are included to the study. As a result of these analysis, it was determined that by increasing globalization level, the level of poverty and income distribution in countries are decreased and the level of human development is increased.
