Space analysis in fictional text: Ömer Seyfettin stories

Architecture interacts with physics, mathematics, psychology, technology, sociology and various branches of the arts such as literature, cinema and theatre. As architecture feeds on these fields to which it is related, it also contains common aspects. The point at which architecture and literature intersect is in the design of mental space. While architecture defines a 'space' by designing concrete or abstractly delimited areas in which individuals can live and act, literary works need a 'space' in which to construct the plot they convey. For this reason, literary works that share the common denominator of 'space' with architecture are also included in the field of study of architecture. Ömer Seyfettin, one of the leading figures in Turkish literature, did not write his stories for children, but to give a sense of direction to a society undergoing serious change. His aim is to create a national language and culture. In his works, which he wrote with the aim of educating the society and depicting the ideal man and the ideal society, the contribution of the element of 'space', which is one of the basic elements of fictional texts, to the story, the points at which it is concentrated, how this 'ideality' comes to life in 'spaces' and the answer have been investigated.
