Abstract (EN)

Violence against women is a problem that has existed in our society for many centuries and is still up to date. The interpretation of women and violence on the issue of women and violence from society, such as cinema, by everyone, will undoubtedly affect the views of the whole society, and will guide the perspectives of women and violence. This study examines the place of women in the cinema and the violence against women, the social and psychological causes of this violence and how violence against women is reflected. In this context, in the first part of the study, the definitions of violence are emphasized and physical, sexual, psychological and economic violence which are the types of violence are explained. At the same time, the sociological and psychological foundations of the act of violence were discussed. In the second part of the study, concepts of feminism, gender specific and gender in the public sphere, family and gender roles, domestic violence, international regulations for the prevention of violence against women, women's rights in Turkey, combating violence against women in Turkey women's solidarity in feminism. In the third part of the study, the method, aim and importance of the study are emphasized, the characteristics of male and female characters of Kurtuluş Son Durak Film, the perspective of women in the film and the perspective of men in women are examined. Violence and gender factors were determined in Kurtuluş Son Durak Film.
