Abstract (EN)

In this study, the unauthorized departure of girls who remain in the care of the institution from the institution and the retrospective study of their life experiences outside were examined within the borders of Ankara province. The purpose of this research is to investigate the reasons why girls run away from the institution. At this stage, when considering life experiences in the care of the institution and in their lives after leaving the institution, it is to consider the individual within the framework of ecosystem theory and to reveal the environmental impact in the process of leaving the institution and leaving the institution. For this purpose, data were collected from interviews with 10 girls. According to the findings obtained as a result of the analysis of the data, the majority of the participants stayed in the institution for more than 5 years and left the institution and stated the reasons for leaving the institution as the majority in the form of inability to be free, failure to meet individual desire needs. When talking about their life experiences after leaving the institution, it was found that 50% of the interviewees had been subjected to physical violence and all of them had experienced financial difficulties. When interviewees talked about their life experiences after leaving institutional care, they said that they had encountered negativity as a majority. These negativities are physical violence, psychological violence, sexual violence and financial difficulties. The findings obtained in this research are that although the reasons for people to escape from the institution mostly depend on individual reasons, the impact of the environment is too much to minimize. It is necessary for the early solution of the problem that the service provided in the institution can be individualized for adolescents and children and respond to their needs.
