The delimitation of arctic marine areas with the institutionalization framework

Özet (EN)

This study states the practices of the delimitations within the framework of United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on Arctic Ocean. It also cites evolution process of Law of the Sea whose both activities done by five coastline countries on Arctic Ocean and, at the same time, several claims stated by those countries. It has been tried to explain what stages of the Law of the Sea up to now and what principals handled by those countries at the assertions of entitlement. Additionally, it has also been tried to refer which sort of fields those countries claim benefits and their legal grounds on the Arctic Ocean. This text places the theory of institutionalization primary, whose placing the effects of Law of the Sea and international affairs' theories on that region. After the theory of institutionalization was evaluated with Law of the Sea, the understanding of institutionalization validity has been argued on Arctic Ocean. In respect to having less information about Arctic Ocean, this study has an individual value on its own field.
