Abstract (EN)

In the study, the X, Y and Z generations living in Istanbul were compared in terms of motivational tools and career anchors. It is aimed to determine whether the X, Y and Z generations differ in terms of motivation tools and career anchors and their subdimensions in the research. In other words, it is aimed to show whether there is a meaningful difference for factors motivating generations and their career ancestry. Since study Z has not yet entered the business life, the study was carried out from the educational institutions of Istanbul in order to make the data meaningful. For this purpose, 315 people from 30 different educational institutions within the boundaries of Istanbul province were included in the study. The obtained data were analyzed and independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) were used. In addition to these tests, some descriptive statistical analyzes (frequency, standard deviation, percent distributions, arithmetic mean) were used. As a result, it was found that the generations showed significant differences in terms of motivation tools and some career anchors. Significant differences were also found among individuals according to some demographic characteristics. Key Words: Motivation Tools, Career Anchors, X,Y,Z Generations
