Valency of predicate that be compound verbs in Kutadgu Bilig

Kutadgu Bilig is a literary work written by Yusuf Has Hacib. This literary work is the main source of the study. In this study has been examined valency of predicate that be compound verb in Kutadgu Bilig. In the examination, valency potantial and valency changes of compound verbs have been investigated. Compound verbs that take part in study, have been indicated with valency represent metod that devoloped by G. Helbig and Schenkel verbal valency potantial has been described in three levels as a logical, syntactic and morphological. In addition, has been examined semantic limitation of valency. In this study, compound verbs are examined under three titles. There are the name+auxiliary verb, name+verb and verb+verb. Valency frames of compound verbs has been evaluatted thereby explain with sample table. A verb has a valency potential and number of logical valency. But, this situation changes when used in the form of a compound verb. As a result of evaluation, each compound verb has taken valency frame attached to its semantic structure. Name+verb structure that constituted verb is changed valency potential and frame of valency as name component in Kutadgu Bilig.
